“ The song is deliberately or accidentally very clever - the introduction, first verse and bridge, propped up by the Yazoo sample, are so underwhelming that you find your attention drifting towards the clock as you wonder when the song will get going. And then, of course, when the chorus does hit you don’t need to look at the time at all because you know exactly what time it is: GIRLBAND O’CLOCK.

I find that it doesn’t even matter what song they are specifically talking about (for the curious: “If This is Love” by The Saturdays, which I haven’t actually heard), this is still the most brilliant song/genre description ever. That is totally my new answer to all questions about time.
